Do I bring my own lingerie, or do you provide?
You can bring your own or use ours. We have an extensive collection.
Do I have to wear lingerie?
No. If you prefer to go a more glamour route with a dress and a more Vanity Fair magazine style shoot, we can do that too. If you prefer to wear a man’s shirt, your partner’s favorite sport’s jersey, a big sweater, a ripped T-shirt and jeans, or nothing but a white sheet, we can do that too! The whole idea is to help you look and feel beautiful, and whatever that is, that is what we will go with.
I'm curvy, will that be an issue?
Similar to putting off your shoot until you lose 5 lbs, thinking that you are too old / short / athletic / curvy / not curvy, or too ANYTHING to do a shoot is simply your inner-critic's way of making you feel like you don't deserve to do this. You are perfect exactly as you are in this moment - and everything you've experienced is a part of your journey that makes you uniquely you! Through lighting, posing, wardrobe and lens angles I will show you your beautiful self in a way that will make you forget whatever you were worried about :)
Do you offer hair and makeup?
We sure do!
Will you help me pose?
Absolutely! I give super easy-to-follow instructions and coach you from your facial expression down to the placement of your fingers. I WILL NOT say “look sexy” or “work the camera” or any other vague directions like that. It’s my job to guide you through the process, and I will be there for you every step of the way, literally. I will mirror the pose for you , so I am right there with you posing. If I can do it, you can do it! However, many of these positions are not normal for most women, so prepare to be a little sore..lol!
Do you share my images?
Our number 1 priority making sure our clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wracking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse aren’t for anyone else’s eyes. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences! If there are photos that I would like to share, I will ask your permission first, and only share what you are comfortable with!
What if I'm nervous/awkward in from of the camera?
If that’s the case, you’re in the same place as 90% of my clients! And honestly, I’m right there with you. I’m super nervous in front of the camera myself, even though I’m a photographer! Because it’s so normal to feel anxious before a boudoir session, I’ve intentionally structured every minute of my boudoir sessions around helping my clients feel cozy, comfortable, and celebrated. Come on into the studio, nerves and all -- WE GOT THIS!!!
Do you Photoshop my images?
As an experienced photographer, there is minimal editing required for your final images! I typically add a light filter to soften skin if asked, a hint of contrast to emphasize highlights and shadows, and I remove any distracting elements from the image.
What is the refund policy?
Due to the custom nature of photography, the session price and any products ordered are non-refundable. You have final say on the retouching and any custom album design and nothing goes to print without your approval.
How long will it take to get my Boudoir Photos?
If you don’t want any add-ons such as books or additional photos I try and have your photos done at least 5 days after our session. However, if you want albums, additional books, or accordion books then it takes about 6 weeks to get back.
Should I get to my shoot early?
You should always plan on getting to your shoot about 10 minutes early so we can talk about your outfits.
Can I make payments?
YES!! We can setup a payment plan before your shoot so you can take your images home at the time of your session. If you don't want to use any of those options, I do offer an in house payment plan, however, nothing is delivered until paid in full.
We have recently partnered with AfterPay, a buy now pay later solution. Ask me about it.
Can I bring a friend?
Of course! You can invite a friend, mom, or sister for comfort, but I do not necessarily recommend it. It can be awkward posing in front of them so the friends who have joined previous sessions end up sitting in a different room. The friend cannot take photos with their phone. Please let me know if you plan on bringing someone.
